In case you haven't heard the good news, May is National Masturbation Month. To help raise money for Mazzoni Center's Women's Health Initiative, I am participating in Philadelphia's first Masturbate-A-Thon!
Why? Masturbation remains taboo and has been stigmatized throughout history. The very mention of it as healthy and normal resulted in the firing of U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Joycelyn Elders. Yet masturbation is an effective way to express one's sexuality, free from risk of pregnancy or STDs.

I would like very much to pledge, but how do we verify that you have masturbated for the amount of time stated?

I don't know ... what is the expression? "Trust, but verify"?
Don't you think a live webcam would do more for this important cause???
